With ~$8500 on the progress bar and the $5000 match headed our way, the full cost of the new run-in is now covered (rock, pad prep, run in, delivery, rubber floor mats, NibbleNets and salt blocks). Thank you to every donor who was able to help make the beautiful new space in Jo's Meadow ready for use. We appreciate you all and can't wait to share photos of the horses enjoying it.

Regular readers have been following as our new acreage has been developed into different areas of use, including the new Jo's Meadow! We completed fencing and adjusted to provide access to fresh water and some big lovely old trees for some shelter...and now we need YOUR HELP adding a beautiful run-in!

Last Fall, we added a "double run-in" to the main herd's field. It is the most popular spot, dubbed "the nightclub" because horses are always waiting to enter. We so loved the design from our friends at The Amish Barn, that we special ordered another, and it's ready for install! The 10' x 28' spacious interior is divided into two sections, and everyone inside can see each other and talk while getting some shelter. It will be placed at the far end of Jo's Meadow, allowing increased use of that space for special groups of our horses who can stay for longer periods of time. We will be adding a dedicated walkway down from the Medical Wing, using gate panels, so we will have easy access for that herd group to utilize the space, or any other horses that need some lush grass or a quieter spot to stretch their legs.

In advance of delivery, rock has been ordered, and a pad created. Once the run-in is placed, we will add rubber floor mats, hanging NibbleNets, and salt licks for the comfort of the gang. All together, we have set our fundraiser at $12,500, AND we have some great news! A generous donor has offered a $5000 Matching Donation towards our goal!!!! So the first donors may enjoy knowing that their contribution is DOUBLED, and gets us that much more quickly to our goal!

We know that you know that expanding our care at the Sanctuary is key to good health for all, as we are dedicated to making constant improvements. This important addition will increase the safety and comfort of our horses, and we know that you want that too.

This double run-in, delivered in 2022, has become a very popular spot now known as "the Nightclub"; we will put this same style run-in in Jo's Meadow.

Jo's Meadow is a beautiful new field beside Roses Brook - Heaven on earth! it is also easily viewed from the Guest House!
