When you have 100+ horses and they each make 30-50 lbs of manure daily, it's a lot to manage. We've tried using hauling services, donating to local gardening, but nothing has solved the problem. So we've been searching for a small dump truck that we can park into the hill like a loading dock, fill and be able to haul away weekly.
We were delighted this past week to finally find the exact truck we need, a 2001 Chevy 3500 4WD Diesel in the right condition. And now we must act fast so we don't lose it. Question is, how do we come up with the $13K (plus tags & registration) to pay for it?
A few incredible friends of the Sanctuary have pledged $2K to get us started, leaving just ~$11K to go. And upon hearing the news, another special donor reached out and offered an amazing $6K match to close the gap, effectively doubling all donations from this point until it's funded!
We are so grateful for the interest in helping Rosemary Farm get this critical piece of equipment which one of our followers dubbed the "Marvelous Manure Moving Machine" and now we turn to you and the rest of #RFnation ...
